WIDI Jack and Editor Issue

Hey guys,

Been having connectivity issues with the WIDI jack and both my MC6mkii and MC8. I use my iPhone to program the board. Been running this way for 8 months or so. For some reason a few minutes into it working perfectly, the commands stop being delivered to the Midi controller. I can still navigate around the editor, but nothing actually affects anything. If I then disconnect and try to reconnect, I am unable to do so. I’ve tried rebooting the board, cycling off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the phone…the whole 9 yards. Everything else I see with other folks seems to make me think I’m just doing something wrong, but has anybody else had this issue?

I also run the UA Ruby and Dream, which have Wi-Fi components to them, but I’ve tried forgetting them in Bluetooth on the phone while having this issue, to no effect. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

What firmware is your MC6/8 running? When the controller is not responding to the editor, does the WIDI Jack LED still blink when you press “Save Preset” (indicates that the WIDI Jack is receiving a message from the Editor)?

Regarding the WIDI Jack, have you updated it to the latest firmware?

Hey James,

I have freshly updated the MC8, Ml10x, and WidiJack to new firmware just in case. Everything is working as I write this, but I will report back once I play out again and see if I run into the issue.
