Widi bud pro ableton move and MC8 Pro

Hello!

Does anyone have any experience using the WIDI bud pro with ableton move and connecting it with the MC8 pro? I’m having a hard time trying to get them to communicate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just configured a WIDI Bud Pro to auto pair with the MC8 Pro.

  1. Power off the MC8 Pro;

  2. Connect the WIDI Bud Pro via BT to the powered on Move’s USB-A port;

  3. Open the WIDI editor app (computer/tablet);

  4. Put the WIDI Bud Pro into Group mode → On, then click OK and disconnect BT on the computer/laptop running the app. It’s ready to pair now;

  5. Power on the MC8 Pro. The WIDI Bud Pro will search for available BT devices to pair with (up to 4 devices) and light up aqua once the pairing is complete;

  6. Short press the tiny button on the side of the WIDI Bud to finalize the pairing. It will always look for the MC8 Pro now (unless you reset it).

You can reactivate BT on the computer/tablet and remove the WIDI Bud Pro from your computer/tablet’s BT registry now.

I’m not 100% sure about the Move config but it should be pretty straight forward once the WIDI Bud is paired. I had a quick look at the manual and there was nothing that looked particularly complex there.
