Why is it so difficult to download the user manuals?

Why is it so difficult to download the user manuals??? I can only download the hex file for the firmware and the source code zip files. I was told that the source code file contained pdfs. It does not.

There are many other companies out there that sell midi controllers. They make their manuals more readily available. Can anyone suggest some other company’s midi controller that doesn’t make it so difficult to download manuals and other documentation?

Anyone want to buy an MC-6

Totally agree with you. Difficult to have a pdf manual

I’m currently looking at other controllers. I believe that Morningstar makes a good product, but I have to be able to actually use it. As an alternative I could purchase another footswitch extender from ModDevices.

I have MC8. It’s an extraordinary midi controller

I’ve never had a problem viewing the Morningstar manual in my web browser.

If you navigate from our webpage under Support >> Manuals >> MC6, it’ll lead you to the online manual in our knowledge base: https://morningstarengineering.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MMS/pages/753729538/MC6+MkII+User+Manual+firmware+3.8

The PDF manual is downloadable in the first section of the manual:

Everything is available in the knowledge base, including write-ups on new features and concepts. There has never been any PDFs in the “source code”. We prioritise the online manual because features are always being added and PDFs will just get outdated too quickly.

Thanks for the feedback. We’ll see how to make the PDF button more obvious.

James - you’ve done it again. Holding a cranky old man by the hand you’ve finally made me see that 99% of my problem was with blockers in my web browser.

THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND HELP!!!
