I’m sending some midi from my MC8 Pro to Loopy Pro (a DAW like app) on iPad.
With Feedback enabled, Loopy Pro sends the same midi (same channel and same cc) back to the MC8 Pro.
I’m trying to figure out the recommended way to program my desired actions for this incoming midi on the MC8 Pro.
What I’m doing now is re-mapping the incoming midi in the editor in Controller Settings>>Midi Message Converter.
The midi I’m sending to Loopy on the iPad is on bank 2 page 1.
Given that I’m not using anything on page 2 of this bank, I am re-mapping the incoming message to cc 18 (engage preset I on page 2) with value 1 (Press)
This works, but is there a preferred/better way vs using the remapping behavior like I’m using?
ie: is there any way to create a bank with presets that are set to respond to arbitrary incoming midi so I don’t have to only rely on presets in the same bank I’m currently using and also don’t have to remap each incoming midi message?
or another way?
