Voodoo Lab Hex not responding to control changes

I have a voodoo lab hex 6-loop switcher set up with an MC8 and cannot get it to respond to program or control changes. I have a strymon timeline next in the midi chain and it is responding fine. Has anyone used one of these with a morningstar MC?

Hi - you’ve configured the unit to required MIDI channel, and to accept PC / CC messages? https://voodoolab.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/HEX_Manual.pdf

You can use MIDI monitor in MC Editor to verify that expected PC / CC is being sent when you press MC switches.

Finally, worth disconnecting from editor before testing footswitch presses: Certain Functions Are Not Working

Yes, I select disconnect.

The Hex works “manually,” just cant get it to work with the mc8.

I called voodoo lab and got it straightened out
