Hey everyone. I’m looking to get a volume pedal that can double as an expression pedal at the same time. Expression to M6pro, volume circuit in a loop of the ML10X that can be bypassed when using the expression. I’m curious if anyone has had luck with any particular volume pedals as I know things like tone loss and uniform pedal sweep can be finicky when interacting with buffers.
So far I’ve been eyeing the Dunlop DVP5 or the Boss FV30L but I’d be curious to hear any experiences with putting volume pedals in ML10X loops.
I would recommend using a lehle dual expression + the oscillator devices siren. The advantages of doing this is that you can use midi to control the volume (even in stereo) and put the siren wherever it won’t take up board space. I actually put mine on my amp and control with with wireless midi from my board- but you could easily pop one of these under your board.
Also with the Lehle there’s a built in switch that would allow you to send a signal to your midi controller to change between controlling the volume on your siren, vs. controlling expression on something else.
Funny you mention the Siren. I remembered hearing about this device after posting this and thought it would be perfect.
And like you say, I’m planning on putting it under my board. Online it says it’s 56mm high so I should have just enough room under my board for it. Do you know if that measurement includes the knobs? If not I definitely can’t fit it underneath my board.
