Using the web editor with Brave browser and Bluetooth

Hi all
I recently switched to using the Brave browser with the editor and just couldn’t get it to connect/pair to the MC8 Pro Bluetooth and was pulling my hair out trying to determine what was wrong. After some searching, it turns out that the Web Bluetooth API in Brave is disabled by default and you simply need to enable it.

SOLUTION
Open Brave and type or copy/paste “brave://flags” (no quotes) into the address bar. You will probably see an entry for “Web Bluetooth API” at the top of the list but if not, just type “Bluetooth” into the search field. For the “Web Bluetooth API” entry, select “Enabled” from the dropdown menu and relaunch Brave. You should then be good to go.

Thanks for tracking this down! I try to use nothing but Brave, and now I can with the editor.

Thanks!

Thank you so very much Gary @Maddcow
This Brave API caused me so much headache and days waisted in troubleshooting.
I was about to return my MC8 Pro thinking the Bluetooth isn’t working.
Another not so elegant workaround is to go to the Audio MIDI setup app on your Mac, and connect from there like this:
