Using one preset to control secondary layers of other presets? Specifics in threads

I have an idea in my head of something I’d like to accomplish but I’m not sure if it’s possible or how to go about it. Maybe I can do it with shift state but I haven’t used it enough to know if I can use it in this.

Essentially, I’d like to use a preset to change “layers” if you will on what’s available on a second switch. For Example, Let’s say I’ve got 4 presets. Simply, Function 1, Function 2, Function 3, Function 4. Let’s say I wanted to use the preset footswitches A and B

When Preset A is in toggle pos. 1 I would like Preset B’s two positions to toggle between Function 1 and Function 2.

When Preset A is in toggle pos. 2 I would like Preset B’s two positions to toggle between Function 3 and Function 4.

Does this description make sense? Anyone know if this is possible?

For a little more context of what exactly I’m trying to accomplish:
I’m planning on using an ML10X mostly for routing. I’ll have a few different stereo signal chains and I’ll have a few different mono signal chains. Most of them will be essentially the same signal path but mono rather than stereo. So what I would like to do is Have something like footswitch A be a toggle from a mono layer to a stereo layer changing the rest of the footswitches to the proper mono/stereo ML10X preset.

Hi,
the easiest way would be to mirror your mono presets in a different bank.
You’d have a mono and a stereo bank. Footswitch A would be a simple bank jump. Functionally it would be the same thing.

Ya, I’ve actually already mocked that idea up and it works. Was just curious if I could do it without taking up another page

I know that James is playing with the idea of implementing conditional messages. If that ever sees the light of day it might be possible.
For now I can’t see how to do this
