Use toggle reset groups when toggle mode is off

I’d like to be able to use shift mode on some presets, which requires using set toggle messages rather than using toggle mode. But I’d also like the ability for these presets to use toggle reset groups. Currently toggle reset groups don’t seem to work on presets that have toggle mode turned off.

Can this functionality be added? If not, is there a workaround?

My use case is switching between presets for a single pedal in a bank, so that each time I change presets the previously selected preset is deselected and the next preset is activated. I’m using the shift mode to overwrite the preset with any changes I’ve made on the pedal.

A Trello card has been created for this request: Use toggle reset groups when toggle mode is off

I was able to solve my immediate problem by continuing to use toggle mode, switching modes on release rather than press and setting shift mode with a long press and a set toggle command.

I use Toggle Reset Groups with Toggle Mode = Off quite often. For example, I had a customer who didn’t like that a switch turned off when he pressed it again, so instead, I turned off Toggle Mode and set up a Press => Toggle (position:1), meaning it only toggles when it’s in position 1. I programmed four switches that way and added them to the same toggle group. That way, whenever you press a new one, the others turn off, as expected, and pressing the same one doesn’t turn it off.

Curious why the Toggle Reset Group isn’t working for you though.

Yeah I’m not sure either! I’m on the latest firmware.
