Use Expression Value Not Working When Value is "0"

My use case is using an expression pedal for my volume, and it works great except for when I change presets on my pedal. If the heel is down, and the volume is off, when I change presets the volume goes back to 100% because that’s what’s saved in the preset.

I decided to do a quick test and send a value of ‘0’ to the CC that controls the volume of my pedal to simulate if the heel was down on my expression pedal. Everything worked great.

So naturally, I would like to use the “Use Value From Expression” toggle so that it sets the volume of this pedal after every preset change to whatever expression value is there.

However, it doesn’t work when the expression value is ‘0’ or the heel is all the way down. It does work when the expression value is anything above ‘0’.

Is this expected behaviour?

Sorry , just wanted to make sure I posted in the right category here. I guess I’m assuming this is a bug, but just wanted to confirm @James?

I just tested this and this issue occurs because the expression pedal isnt calibrated properly. Can you try running the calibration on the MC and see if the issue persists for you?

:expressionless_face:

That fixed it. I had noticed that my expression pedal (Dunlop DVP4 Mini X) was not always going to 0% when I had finished calibrating it, so I calibrated to go to ‘0’ when the heel was raised slightly.

It is working now.

Thank you so much. I hate that it was that simple.

Thanks for the update. This is still be a bug on our end - will fix this in the next update.
