Toggling Relay Ports when entering bank or toggling preset from another preset

I have the MC6 Pro and use one of my presets to toggle the Relay Port to do simple amp switching. This preset (button) works fine with the mini relay port and changes my amp from clean to dirty. All good here!

However, I’m looking to get my amp to always change to the clean channel when entering a new bank but I can’t seem to get this to work. If I choose to “toggle” the relay port itself when entering the bank it doesn’t do anything. If instead I tell it to toggle the existing preset I’ve setup for amp switching already it doesn’t work either - it does toggle the preset but the relay doesn’t change state.

I’m also trying to have a specific preset / button turn a chorus effect on and also switch to clean channel and then synchronise the amp switching preset to be the same state. But this only half works - it toggles the amp switching preset fine but the relay doesn’t change state still.

It’s as if the only way to change the relay port is to do it using the dedicated amp channel switching relay port preset I have setup.

Is this correct or am I missing something?

I want to be able to manually switch amp channel myself, switch amp channel to clean when entering a bank, or switch amp channel whilst turning on other effects.

So far I can only do the basic amp channel switching on its own when which is frustrating and must have a way around it.

Hi. I’ve just tested toggling Relay Port A when entering bank 120 and bank 121. Scrolling back and forth between both banks and consistently heard the relay engaging and disengaging with each bank change. Please see settings below.

However, I think the issue for your use case is that you should not be using Toggle. Instead you should be using Engage or Disengage to specify whether you want the Relay engaged or disengaged when you enter a particular bank. So that you always get your clean amp channel when you enter a bank. Settings shown below.

I’m not sure if your amp needs the tip or ring engaged or disengaged, but this illustrates the concept.

Hi Brandon - many thanks for this response.

Something odd was happening with the Relay message, and I was definitely misunderstanding the Toggle concept too.

I think I have it all working now though and the Relay message is working now as needed. (The Toggle command is very useful too!)
