Hi, I have various MC8 Pro presets configured in toggle mode. When I select the preset, it toggles to an “engaged” display state (Pos 2: different color i.e. black background with white text for unengaged, and red background with black text for engaged.) to indicate its relative state. However, if I make any subsequent press to the same preset (say perhaps to long press to invoke an extra device feature whilst still in the engaged state) it will toggle back to the POS1 visual “unengaged” display whilst my device is still engaged . Is there a way to overcome this switch behavior? (i.e. stay in the engaged state until a separate preset is pressed)
Hi,
disable toggle mode.
Replace your press actions with release actions.
Programm a message with release/toggle preset/ pos both.
Place this message as the very last message within your preset.
The toggle preset takes the function of toggle mode. It has to be placed last to avoid triggering subsequent release actions.
You have to use release instead of press because long press does trigger press messages too.
You can’t use toggle mode because in toggle mode any action including long press will toggle the preset.
Thanks, I will try this solution.
Okay, so invoking a second long press release message on an active preset keeps the preset engaged (excellent), however a subsequent press of the same preset to “undo” the secondary long press release command reverts the configured preset display to “unengaged”. Thoughts?
So just trialling a few options, it seems as though the last toggle preset message works as I’d hoped by selecting POS 1, and not both. ![]()
