What is the best way to toggle between three options and have the display correlate to the current toggle. Many chase bliss pedals have three three way switches on the front of the pedal to modify settings, looking to have one button switch between all three and display the current mode. Please point me in the right direction if there is a thread that addresses this.
The best way would be to use the Preset Message Scroll function. We explain how to use that in this video. To make the name change with each step, you’ll need to add a Utility message to set the preset to scroll by 2 messages (or however many you need, including the Preset Rename message type) at a time. We explain that in this article.
Another option is to use a release message to switch between position 1 and 2, then assign a release message for each position to activate one of the 3 positions, and then use a long press message to go to the shift position as well as activate the third option, then when in shift mode, you can have a release message to go to position 1, and a long press to position 2. Probably not as clean as preset scroll, but it does work. I use this method to recall 3 different presets on my midi modded pog2, except I use long press in shift position to then scroll through the other 5 presets on the pedal (no indicator on the mc6 I just look at the preset lights on the pog2 and use a pc scroll counter).
