Taking new MC6PRO icon requests

Let me know if there are any requests for new icons that we can add for the MC6PRO and we’ll get it added (if it makes sense)
You can view the selection here: Material Symbols and Icons - Google Fonts

Adding icons for waveforms would be great. Triangle (arrow up) and square are already available.

I couldn’t find a Google font for sine but this “airwave” could be used instead or maybe modified:
airwave_24dp_5F6368_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24

…and for the 16-step sequencer “transition disolve” could be used:
transition_dissolve_24dp_5F6368_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24

I couldn’t find anything for saw up/down.

Also being able to type in/combine 2 or more icons on the preset and/or bank names would be useful too.

The Stat 2 and Stat minus 2 would be useful.

I’d love to see

play_pause_24dp_5F6368_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24
volume_up_24dp_5F6368_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24

Functionally wise the first 3 would be handy for reset, back, record functions.

Refresh
refresh_24dp_5F6368_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24

Undo
undo_24dp_5F6368_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24

Radio Button Checked
radio_button_checked_24dp_5F6368_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24

And for more fun symbols, either specific pedal or preset related functions.
(Bolt - maybe greer lightspeed, jhs superbolt. Skull - maybe a heavy preset)

Bolt

Skull

I use the MC-6 Pro to control my DAW. To start off, these seem quite useful.

love the waveforms. would also like to be able use more than one at once. others that stood out from the list -

close, check circle, add, add circle, refresh, logout / in, open in new, bolt, sync, start, delete sweep (for looper empty), install desktop, stacks, sentiment satisfied or mood, rocket launch, globe, visibility, power settings new, all inclusive, tune, grid view, list, mic, music note, volume up / down / off, music off, resume, cake

those are the ones that stood out to me as useful for music!

What about emoji support for banks and presets names?
Could that be implemented?

thanks everyone - we should have enough added already.

We’ll also add a function to easily reference and copy the placeholder to your preset or bank names after you click on the icon. We’ll also try to add a renderer in the editor so you can see what exactly will be shown in the controller.

We’ve not pushed any updates yet, the above is just a preview.

Can you elaborate on this?

this looks fantastic!

Sure!
Much like adding new icons, adding emoji support for bank and preset names could enhance the MC6 PRO by providing quick, visual cues that help users easily identify and differentiate their setups. Emojis can make the interface more intuitive and personalized, improving the overall user experience.
I understand that Implementing emoji support might involve updating the font or character set used by the MC6 PRO’s display and the online editor, but it would be worth it IMHO😅

oh so you mean to be able to literally type out an emoji in the editor () rather than using the \r for :arrow_right: and so on right? and then to have that reflected on the controller?

Right, and have the same emoji displayed on the MC6 Pro screen/s.

Ah ok got it, so literally emojis in the name. I’m not sure if this is feasible yet (seems unlikely) but will need to research more.

Meanwhile, just to share, we should be adding a preset renderer in the editor. So basically, it’ll show how the preset will look in the controller.

We’re currently just left with working on displaying the icons.
Currently, you can click on the name/background/strip itself to edit the color, so we might do away with the current Strip/Text/Background buttons to set the color, or add it as a setting in the editor settings.

love this addition! huge fan of this and the color render feature

Might be late to the party and have no graphic design skill but something to indicate Mono or Stereo would be useful.

This is a late request. Forgot to mention it in my first post. Clock would be a great addition:

Maybe it can be squeezed in before the release of v3.13.
