Hello,
I have a question. Let’s say my presets A through B are for different drives.
Let’s say I add another effect to each of these presets; say a reverb, as in my case.
A = plate reverb = PC#1,
B = room = PC#2,
C = hall = PC#3,
D = reverse = PC#4.
All the reverbs come from the same pedal, the source audio ventris.
So I have my presets A,B,C,D with a very specific reverb. This allows me to have a defined selection and not waste time.
Let’s say preset E is programmed to scroll through the same reverbs as presets A,B,C,D, =PC#1,2,3,4 , but with a “manage preset message scroll”.
Is it possible to synchronize the Preset E with the others A through D? Basically, if I select preset D with the reverse reverb (PC#4), will the reverb displayed on preset E be the same?
Thank you very much.
Edit:
Is it possible, by clicking on the “Present E” button, to tell the Morningstar MC8 Pro to reset the counter and activate a specific PC#? For example, with a “First Engage” message?
Hello,
I managed to scroll through the presets as Guitar Wolf suggested. I’d like to add a second option to the same preset.
I have my Send Program Change and Message Rename messages to scroll through my PC#s. No problem, it works as I want.
- I’d like to be able to activate a second function of my source audio Ventris via a long press. I’ve disabled Toggle mode, so I have Toggle Mode OFF.
For this second function, I’ve managed to create a rough approximation of what I want to do in Shift State mode. I’m getting close, but it’s not perfect yet.
I scroll through the presets with “release actions” but I’d like to activate the dual reverb mode of my Ventris via a long press, while also lighting up the strip on my screen to indicate whether I’m in dual mode or not. The problem I’m having is that it only works the way I want once.
what is happening:
I can turn on the second/dual reverb and the strip with a long press. Then I can switch back to single reverb mode and the strip off with a second long press. perfect.
But if I repeat these long presses, the strip turns on, then off, but I remain in mono reverb mode.
I don’t understand why…
these are my messages for the shift state and a link to the video to see the results:
Hi,
All of your long press actions are set to pos both! That won’t work. There is a disengage and a toggle preset and a shift which are all executed at once. Why do you need the shift anyway? Set your message scroll messages to pos 1 and use pos 2 for your long press.
I placed all the send messages as you said, in position 1, including “preset rename”, “set message scroll counter”, and “set number of messages to scroll”. It works. Then I programmed the long presses as follows:
Originally, I wanted to program this with “shift state,” inspired by what you programmed for the boost on my OD-200.
I had absolutely no idea that you could scroll through the messages using only “position 1.” And all my other scrolling presets (delay pedal and modulation pedal) are programmed as “both.”
