I’m a relatively new user, finally getting around to setting up my pedals but having problems programming what I think should be simple. I’ve gone through the forums here and the facebook group and videos, but I must be missing something.
What I want to do is on the Chase Brothers AM:
Program Switch A to turn Channel 1 on and off (this works)
Program Switch B to turn Channel 2 on and off (this works)
If I click each switch independently it works fine.
If both channels are on and i click switch A it channel 1 turns off, as expected.
The issue is when I now click Switch B to turn off Chanel 2, I have to click it twice to switch it off.
I’ve tried different toggle settings, and reset toggle groups, to no avail. Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.
If you change settings on the AM pedal itself, there is no data sent out to the MIDI controller, and therefore no way for the MIDI controller to know that it should switch its toggle states.
If you turn on both AM channels 1 and 2 using the MIDI controller, then the switch states will not go out of sync.
Thanks so much for the reply Benjamin. I was clicking only on the mc6 but I realized I should try turning off the bank’s Clear All Presets Toggle, as that’s probably what’s causing it to be out of sync. And lo and behold, it’s working now. It’s all confusing to me, so just trying to figure out one issue/experiment at a time!
Ah yes, you should disable the Clear All Preset Toggles setting. That is for when you want only one preset to be shown as active in toggle position 2 at any time. Even in that scenario, the newer Toggle Groups and Toggle Reset Groups feature works better for that now as the allow you to choose which switches get their toggle states retained or reset.
