After scouring the interweb with no avail, I thought I would send this out to gain some guidance on switching Headrush MX5 rig presets via Morningstar MC6.
I am able to get CC messages to work but I am not able to get a response when attempting to call up rig pre-sets using PC message
Am I missing something or is it simply not possible to communicate with the MX5 and switch rigs?
Hi, I don’t own a MX5 but a quick look at the manual leaves me with the impression that it isn’t possible. You can emulate footswitch presses by midi cc though. If it’s possible to change rigs by footswitch presses there might be a workaround.
I’m new to this as well, and being trying to do the same thing, using the MC6 MKII to change rigs. I have not been able to accomplish this. A friend of mine gave me his mx5 and I’m using it with the tonex pedal. I love my presets in the tonex, and trying to incorporate new effects using the mx5 for different sounds. I have different rigs set up in mx5 using different effects and would like to be able to change rigs using the mc6. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
