In the manual it says the MC6 Pro can power other USB devices via the USB Host port. But I don’t see how much power it can actually provide. And how much it needs when doing so.
Also, it can receive phantom power via MIDI 7 pin? I actually have no idea how to do that. Does anyone know what the requirements for this to work are?
We don’t have a chart for this yet but generally if you are powering other USB devices via the host port then you may need to increase the mA supplied to the MC6 PRO. USB ports can provide up to 500mA of power. We recommend that the USB device have it’s own power supply if possible.
Power can be supplied to pins 6&7 on the MIDI OUT port. 9-12v AC or DC will work.
