[Solved] Cannot use Device Editor on Chrome

Is this happening to anyone else? I just got my MC3. When I access the online Device Editor, I get a message that my browser is not compatible (I’m using Google Chrome).

Restarting the browser didn’t help. Same problem on alternate device (Mac Big Sur & iPad Pro iOS 14.6)

I am located in Thailand.
I switched to a VPN connection to US, but that didn’t do anything either.

Is this behavior familiar to anyone?
Thank you!

James has already set me straight.
In case anyone finds themselves here, the trick to right click the lock icon to left of the url and allow MIDI devices.

Glad it is resolved!

Just sharing it here as well - make sure MIDI devices is enabled in the settings.

The editor can work in Opera as well.

Cool. btw, I’ve also tested with the Web MIDI app on iPad.
Works, but only after presenting me with the Browser Incompatible warning.
Perhaps you want to change the wording of that a little bit…

Cheers!
Gary

In the Web MIDI app, can you go to the settings and see if SysEx is enabled? It should be, then it won’t show that warning (at least it does not on my iPhone).

Yes, appears at the time of going to the editor address, if SysEx is not enabled
SysEx on, apparently okay. :+1:
