Solution ? Hiss / noise with strymon Brig controlled via MC8 Pro omniport

Hello people, I’m on finishing the configuration on the editor with my strymon brig delay.

I have noticed some hiss / noise as soon as the brig is connected to omniport 3 or 4 (ports 1 and 2 are connected to 2 dunlop mini volume pedals).

I have tried 3 different TRS cables. It’s even the same hiss / noise.

Where could this hiss came from?

The solution i have found and succesfully tested after little research is trying point 2 above, but have to be confirmed.

@jason.nguyen @james please, could you confirm that it exist no risk of damage the MC8 Pro if i cut the ground cable of my TRS cable ?

Simply cut the ground cable to make sure that you eliminate the noise of the strymon pedal.

Yes, the issue is likely from a ground loop because Strymon devices do not have isolators at the MIDI Input (which is why it can function as a MIDI / Exp port). No issues with damage with you cut the ground from the TRS cable.
