Simple way to display single-use presets

I’m using the MC8 Pro and I think there must be a simpler way of doing this, so wanted to check with folks here.

I’m trying to do something that must be fairly common. I have a bank of presets per song. Each song has presets like “Verse,” “Chorus,” “Bridge,” etc. The Verse preset sets all my pedals as needed for the verse section, and the Chorus preset sets all my pedals as needed for the chorus section, etc. Obviously, it doesn’t make sense to have more than one of these on at a time. So I set them up as toggles and I add each to the same Toggle Reset Group. And I use different colors for toggle states so I can tell which preset is on at any given time. All good so far.

But it also doesn’t make sense for the presets to toggle “off.” Either the verse section is on, or the chorus section is, etc. But I don’t “turn off” the verse section. Pressing the verse preset switch a second time should do nothing. But currently, when I press the verse preset a second time, it toggles the preset “off.”

One way of getting around this is by not using the toggle setting at all and using “set toggle” controls (position 1 would toggle, and position 2 wouldn’t). But that doesn’t seem to work with the toggle reset groups. So that would mean going back to the old tedious way of programming each preset to manually toggle off all other presets.

Is there a better way I’m missing somehow?

I like to just add Release All → Toggle Preset (position:2) to the end (keep Toggle Mode =ON and your toggle reset group). There will be a slight blink as it toggles and toggles back, but I like that as an indicator that it registered my press.
