Setlist Manager - What am I doing wrong?

I’ve never tried Setlist Manager till now, but I’m running out of bank space AND I want a better way to manage my banks. Setlist Manager seems perfect (just like the tutorial video says!).

So I created a backup, then opened that backup in Setlist Manager, edit it as I desired, saved the Setlist as a new backup file, and restored my banks using that new file. But nothing changes on the MC8Pro or in the editor.

I reopened the new backup file in setlist Manager to make sure it’s what I think it should be and it is.

What the heck could I be missing?

You’re using the normal editor to restore from the backup after you finish with the Setlist manager, correct?

Hey Jason - I am indeed.

And I was just coming on here to update my post…

It makes no sense to me, but I figured it out (at least for now). When I connect my controller using the USB hub I always use for connecting to my laptop, it doesn’t work (as I described in the OP). I disconnected the hub and connected direct to the laptop’s USB and everything worked flawlessly.

the usb hub should not matter. could it be that the bank and preset names in the editor isn’t refreshed, so that it seems like the device wasn’t updated ?

You can click on the Bank or Preset label above the list of bank/preset names to reload the names

I wondered that when I was experiencing it, but not the case.

And yeah, regarding the hub, it makes no sense to me either. If the hub were an issue, I’d expect it would have difficulty connecting at all (doesn’t). But it fails 100% of the time for me through my hub and works 100% of the time now when bypassing it!
