Set a default startup preset

It would be nice if we could set up a default preset when starting up the system.

You can do that. Edit the Bank Preset of the bank that your controller powers up to. (eg. If your controller powers up to Bank 1, edit Bank 1). Program an On Enter Bank event to trigger the MIDI messages you want upon start up. If you are unfamiliar with Bank Presets, check out this video:

It loads into the first preset, so that can be your default startup preset?

I know, but I would prefer if there was a setting to define the preset I like, and maybe even a setting to start with the last preset used before shutdown.

Are you using a Morningstar MIDI controller to control the ML10X? You can send a PC message to the ML10X on powering up to the first bank on your MIDI controller.
