Send last sent PC and decrease/increase questions/issues

I finally updated my MC6 Pro to 3.13 and I was attempting to setup a new preset that used the “last sent PC number” feature shown in the latest Morningstar video. I really liked the idea of the controller being able to keep track of the last PC sent on each channel, and using that instead of the scroll counters. But I’m having difficulty implementing this as a way to scroll through presents for individual pedals

Here’s the message I have set up.

I have another preset that will send a specific preset number (in this case, PC #7) just to be able to check and have a previously sent PC message. But when I send this message, it always sends PC #1. It will not increase or decrease the PC number; it doesn’t matter what PC number I sent previously to that action, it only sends PC #1. I’ve double-checked this with the Midi Monitor, and also tried it with multiple pedals (Empress Echosystem, Chase Bliss, Red Panda).

The “Send last PC and increase/decrease” type works as I thought it would. It will send the last PC number and then decrease/increase that number, so the next time you send the command it will progress to the next number. But it makes a preset scroll wacky, because if you are increasing, and then send a decrease command, it will increase one more (because it sends the last PC message first) before starting to decrease.

I would appreciate any help with understanding what I’m doing wrong, or if this is a bug with 3.13.

Last question, is it possible to offset the display number of the current PC number (%P0), similar to what you can do with the scroll counter placeholders? Red Panda pedals start there PC numbers at 0, so preset one is actually PC# 0. It would be great to be able to offset that so it shows as 1 on the screen, rather than #0.

The Increase/Decrease last sent PC and send options were not in the original release. This option was pushed to the editor in an update, and we will release the updated firmware (v3.13.4) today.

Currently, not added yet but we’ll see if we can squeeze this into today’s release.

Ah, got it, that makes sense. Thanks for the update!

Hey @james , updated my MC6Pro last night and got the same issue. Realised I only updated up to 3.13.3 and can’t seem to find 3.13.4. Is it up yet?

Thanks

3.13.3 is the latest release according to the GitHub repo: GitHub - Morningstar-Engineering/MC6-PRO-MIDI-Controller

Yeah, but seeing as James mentioned the feature only works on 3.13.4, published the video on YT about it and mentioned 5 days ago on this thread it was due to be released.

I’m just wondering if it’s delayed or I missed something

My apologies, we were still checking out some bug reports over the last week.

We do have a compiled firmware here though, with all the fixes listed here:

I’ll just attach the firmware here first:
