Second page on banks won’t toggle presets

Hey more issues
So, there’s a few songs/banks that I use two pages per bank. The first page works fine. When I engage a preset the preset name toggles/blinks when I engage the preset and stops blinking when I turn it off.

When I now go up to the second page which has the the same presets, but with just some different BPM midi clocks the presets name don’t blink when engaged.

This is rather strange as I have used these banks on a tour and haven’t changed any of the coding. Now all of sudden after an update this is happening.
Any advice? Should I just manually reprogram all the banks with multiple pages?

Which device model is this and what firmware version did you update to? Can you share your bank backup file?

Here’s a song bank with two pages the exemplifies the problem. Thanks

It’s a mC8. I have the custom firmware you made for me and another member. I am the one who had insane clock drift with a strymon el cap.
I have two friends who also use the mc8 and are much more fluent with midi programming and they both have no idea what is wrong and why these glitches keep happening. We all at the point were we think it might be a defective unit

Any one else have any advice? I’m leaving for tour tomorrow and this is still happening which is very distracting. Thanks!

Just tested - Yes this seems to be an issue in that custom firmware v3.12.0 (presets in Page 2 do not blink). Issue does not exist in the current release v3.11.1. We’re checking it out now and will provide an update asap.

We’re in the midst of unit testing the firmware for the next release.

This should be stable - you’ll need to use this firmware with the beta editor: Morningstar MIDI Editor

We’ll dedicate more time to testing this firmware tomorrow.

Okay, well thanks for checking. I will try and load this into my Mc8 asap. Somehow I’m glad it’s not my coding/programming. Thanks for taking care of this (hopefully). It’s been a kind of a pain in the first shows of this tour. Cheers!

Hey James,
So i have had my first day off on tour today. I tried uploading your Hex file linked in the chat, but when trying to to load it into my MC8 the upload has failed twice. A simple FYI.

Please let me know if theres anyway to fix this. I am playing some really large shows, BBC sessions and more. I am getting to the point where I am not sure what is going on with this unit. My bandmate also has a MC8/ml5 setup and he programs way way more complex stuff than I do and his unit(s) work fine. He has gone through my programming and it seems to be “correct”. I have 70+ more shows this year and I really just needs a reliable option. Is this a normal problem? Or is it something potentially wrong with the new Strymon V2 capistan and flint compatibility…

what was the error you faced? After a failed upload, can you click on “download logs” at the bottom and share the file contents?

Looks like the firmware posted a few messages back is MC6 Pro firmware, but whalecalls is using an MC8.

Wrong file attached perhaps?

Yes, my bad, I attached the wrong (MC6 PRO) firmware. I have the MC8 firmware in my computer but I think I should double check it again when I’m back in office on Monday to make sure its the right one.

But if you want to give it a go this weekend:

Alright! So, I loaded up the newest firmware that was sent and it now works! YES! I know it was a small mistake, but sometimes when playing festivals and clubs there are times where i cant really hear my guitar and not having a visual confirmation of what effect is on is a little worrisome at times. I REALLY appreciate all the support from you guys. Apologies for my previous message if it came across rude or b*tchy. Thanks y’all. I am excited for the mc8 pro release whenever that might happen!
