Hello, all. I am brand new to MIDI. Like beyond brand new. I am trying to save a preset on my MC6 Pro from my MOOD MKII. I am getting no where. Could a kind soul maybe walk through the full thing from connections to menu options to get there? Thank you.

You can’t save a preset from a pedal to a midi controller. You’ll have to save the preset on the MOOD. Then you can recall that preset by programming the MC to send a midi command to recall that preset.

@GuitarWolf Thank you for your response. I think the first thing I was trying to accomplish was having several presets to be able to recall for the MOOD MKII. Is it possible to walk me through programming the MC to send a midi command to recall that preset? At your convenience?

First you should be aware that the MOOD is known to cause problems when trying to connect it to the MC. Have a look at his thread:

MOOD MKII is set to MIDI channel 2 by default,
but it’s easy to change. Simply hold down both
stomp switches when you power up the pedal.
The pedal is now looking for the first “Program
Change” message it sees, and it will set itself to
that channel.
SAVING A PRESET VIA MIDI
Presets are both saved and recalled by using
Program Change (PC) messages.
To save a preset, send a PC message while
holding down both foot switches. Sending a
Program Change message of 45, for example,
will save your current settings to preset 45.
There are 122 total slots.
Slots 1 and 2 correspond to the preset toggle
on the pedal. Slot 1 is the right slot. Slot 2 is the
left slot.
RECALLING A PRESET VIA MIDI
To recall a preset, simply send MOOD MKII a
Program Change message.
To recall a preset you’ll have to:
Step 1:
Save a Preset on your Mood
Step 2:
Program any of your MC’s switches to send a PC# between 1-127
If you didn’t change the MIDI Channel of your MOOD send the PC# on channel 2
Step 3:
Send the PC# by pressing the corresponding switch of the MC while holding down both switches of the MOOD
Now you can recall the preset by pressing the MC’s switch again
