Hoping someone can help…How should I configure the synesthesia to best work with the ml10x?
I’m wondering what the most effective use of this pedal is and how to route it… Right now I have the OBNE dark star going mono into the ml10x which has multiple gain stages and some time based effects and then ml10x out to the GFI. This works fine, but I feel like I’m missing out on some cool sounds via parallel routing and placing the ml10x pedals in between the two modulation engines of the GFI.
Is it possible to put the GFI first in the ml0x as A tip and somehow place the other pedals between it with it using stereo out from E tip & ring? Im having a hard time wrapping my head around this…
If you have two spare loops on the ML10X, the easiest thing is to simply add the Synesthesia’s Left and Right sides as if they’re two separate pedals that can be moved anywhere you want.
Is your whole rig mono? If so, you’ve got an opportunity there to run one of its channels through the second input/output pair of the ML10X. Let’s say you keep the second channel after the ML10X, but run the second one into the ML10X’s second ins/outs like this:
Dark Star → ML10X In 1 → ML10X Out 1 → GFI In 1 → GFI Out 1 → ML10X In 2 → ML10X Out 2 → GFI In 2 → GFI Out 2 → wherever
In ML10X simple mode, this means that everything on Row 1 is before the GFI Channel 1, while everything in Row 2 is after GFI Channel 1, and then the ML10X’s overall output goes to GFI Channel 2.
