RoMi: Roland Keyboard SysEx MIDI calculator

I just wanted to let you know that there is a tool called RoMi that helps you to calculate sysex messages for several Roland keyboards. Maybe someone finds it helpful…

Another day another forum! Just seen, wonder if this will help with decrypting the received dumps and requested data. First still struggling to decrypt the guide to issue a value request (command id 11)

I read somewhere something about format for size request, am guessing it’s the size as indicated in the parameter guide and address map section, but pulling it all together is proving taxing!

I think I can (re)issue sysex messages I’ve seen and copied to SET individual parameters, but to GET the value is something I’ve not seen much of.

I’ll update with related links if useful as I’ve read &watched lots of really helpful stuff… But not much on this bit, for “state” based or like bidirectional interaction between master controller (JDxi) and usb connected devices (usually android or windows)

Column two shows common value type (0-127) sent using 7 bits eg 0aaaaaaa … Not yet sure how to interpret the info provided for tempo

Initially testing with set messages (12) the checksum 00 appeared to work so I’m hoping that can be avoided…

Piece of cake? :crossed_fingers:
