RJM Mastermind before MC6 Pro

I may be going about this the wrong way, but I am having trouble with my MIDI routing. I want to use my RJM Mastermind PBC/6x to send certain commands to/through my MC6 Pro and to my other MIDI pedals. For instance, I want to go to a preset or song on my Mastermind and have that preset send Midi clock, PC messages to my MC6 Pro and some of my time based effects.

I have been able to get the PBC/6x to send tempo to my MC6 Pro, but it doesn’t go through to my other pedals, I’ve also noticed that each time I switch to a new preset on the mastermind, it switches presets on the mc6 pro, is there any way to change that? I can’t figure out and I may be barking up the wrong tree.

Have you enabled the correct MIDI Thru settings on the MC6 PRO. You can check on the Controller Settings tab on the Editor. You should have DIN5 MIDI In thru to DIN5 Out enabled.

Regarding the MC6 PRO unintentionally responding to messages from the PBC/6X, that’s happening because you’re probably sending MIDI messages on the same MIDI channel that the MC6 PRO is set to. Change the MC6 PRO MIDI Channel to ‘Disabled’ and this should be resolved.
