Hey Guys,
while trying to solve a different problem I updated from v3.11.1 to v3.16.6 .
Later on preparing for a set I realized my midi clock messages don’t come thru.
First tried to plug in the midicable straight into my TimeLine and second time straight into the Mobius, both didn’t react to any MidiClock messages.
After some research I went to the controller settings and pressed on “select all” Midi Clock ports, but still I didn’t seem to work. Since everything worked before updating to the newest version and I had to make it work for the gig I reuploaded the older version to the MC8 and all the MidiClock messages worked again. Is someone else experiencing these kind of issues, am I missing a setting or button I have to turn on?
Try going to the general config and turning on MIDI Clock Persist to see if it’s sending any clock at all on the new firmware. Also try clearing all the MIDI Clock Ports, saving, checking them all, and then saving again.
Sadly I didn’t work either ![]()
MIDI clock is definitely working in v3.13.6. Just to confirm, you are using the MC8?
After updating, and in the editor, make sure you select everything here, and then save and restart:
Is the BPM label blinking on the MC8 LCD when you are testing your MIDI clock? If it is blinking then that will indicate that MIDI clock is being generated by the controller.
What I’d recommend is do a full backup in v3.11 (with the 3.11 editor) and then update your firmware to v3.13. Do a factory reset and then use the v3.13 editor to load your backup.
sorry im pretty late on this. Your solution totaly worked, just tried it yesterday! Thank you very much!
