[Resolved] MS MIDI box help nothing is responding

Received delivery of a MS Midibox and spent some good time getting it integrated with my board. I have since completely removed it because it rendered my board without any usable midi flow. Adding the box pretty much froze my whole midi chain and nothing I connected with the midibox would respond at all. The pedals attached all acted very oddly and did not work properly.

My midi chain was as follows -

MC8
Boss RC600
Boss SY200
Into MS MIDI box
With Specular Tempus, CB Thermae, CB Habit
Out MS MIDI box
Microcosom

Majority of the midi cables and all adapters were purchased from Morningstar along with the midibox.

I did some trouble shooting and tried placing the midibox in different places, using different cables, unplugging, bypassing, restarting, etc

Both trs outputs from the midibox that were running the Chase Bliss pedals had the jumper removed for the tip so that they were being sent midi from the ring only.

Would love to get this up and running. Any help is appreciated.

When you send MIDI to the MIDI Box, does the MIDI LED light up? Try with no cables connected first (only the MC8 MIDI OUT to the MIDI BOX 5PIN MIDI IN), and then with the Microcosm connected to the 5PIN MIDI OUT. Let me know how that works.

With no other pedals connected to the midibox I am able to send midi to the microcosm.

Thanks for the update. Ok, next try connecting each TRS pedal one at a time and see which pedal causes the MIDI Box to stop working.

For the CB pedals, you’ll need to remove the Tip connection (which you mentioned you have done). You’ll also need to move the R+ jumper to R.
This is the required connection for Chase Bliss pedals.
