[Resolved] How can I constrain the number of banks? mc6 pro

I’ve gone to “controller settings” then to “bank arrangement” and then I read this

The Bank Arrangement feature allows you to rearrange your banks in a Custom Bank Sequence. This allows you to limit the number of banks in your controller, or to rearrange the banks to suit your new setlist.

this seems like the place I need to be but nothing does anything. there is no “hide bank” I can reorder banks on the right side but not the left. when I try the left I get this.

“reached bank sequence limit”

it also tells me that it won’t work if I’m in edit mode. what is edit mode? how do get out of it without loosing the “bank arrangement” screen? thank you. Ron

Yes, the bank arrangement feature is the correct tool for this.

The list on the left is all the banks you have in the MC6P.

The list on the right is the new custom bank sequence that you want to use.

You’ll need to drag and drop the banks you want to use from the left to right.

If all you want to do is to limit the banks, say to 6 banks, it’ll just look like this:

hi James. yes. thank you. that is exactly what I want it to look like. but no amount of mousing and dragging makes the right hand green column change. I would think a right click “delete bank” option (or something similar) would do this but so far no option offered.

can you break down the click steps for me? thank you! I’m sure it’s easy but I think I’ve tried everything. cheers. Ron

To delete a bank from the right, you just need to drag and drop it outside the box.

Great, I was looking for the same thing.
Is there away to limit the pages. All I need is Two banks with two pages per bank.

Not yet, but maybe we can add it as a bank or controller setting

Do you mean limiting the page number, or limiting the number of banks? For number of banks, you can use the Bank Arrangement feature

Yes, page number. I am keeping “m to x” for permanent tasks for my 16 button aux switch so I would love to not have to see those pages ever.
