REQUEST: Ladder Switches With Status Lights

Hi There,

Love my ladder switches but wish there was a way to have status lights which mirror the toggle state setup in each preset.

In future, is there a way to create a type of switch that communicates the status of the preset on using a light on the switch?

Would be a game changer when playing live.

Cheers, Ben

@pedalnetics Might be able to build this for you.

I can see two ways to do this:

  • The switch simply (blindly) toggles the status light. It could get out of sync with the actual setting.
  • The switch accepts midi which tells it to turn the status light on/off, change color, etc. You’d have to program the MC6 Pro to send that midi to change the lights.

Yup, I already make MIDI controllable LED lights and install them into my ladder switches :slightly_smiling_face:

The mod/info for the lights: StatLight Mod - Pedalnetics

Just requires 9vdc, and had a Midi input; each light is individually controllable both on/off as well as color.

Here’s one of my 11-switch (resistor ladder) loaded with the StatLight mod:

@pedalnetics Jason! Amazing my friend, it’s Ben here (orders #8433 & #8232). You helped me with extra components to re-house your ladder switches into alternative enclosures.

So can you sell me the components to upgrade my switches (pics attached) for MIDI - and can it be TRS MIDI as my pedalboard DIN MIDI is currently maxed out?

Cheers, Ben

Really nice! I’d love to get one of those!

They’re hidden on my site as I keep forgetting to edit/add photos instead of the CAD-based screenshots I did just to get it up for chase, but here’s the magical hidden link: :slightly_smiling_face:
