Replacing MC8 Pro foot switches with Lehle

Hi,

I am trying to determine if replacing the foot switches on the MC8 Pro with LEHLE SWITCH BTN switches might be possible in a non-invasive way.

The Lehle switch is a normally open momentary switch with 2 wires and has a diameter of 12 mm (M12 enclosure). Here is the datasheet.

The BTN-C version linked above comes with a 2-pin PCB connector that looks like this (screenshots from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEhYki5WAxw):

Would these switches fit into the holes of the MC8 Pro and do these pre-soldered connectors happen to be compatible with Morningstar’s?

So you don’t have the MC8 neither?

Or why don’t you open it and measure the connectors?

Hi Everybod, new here and with a MC8.

I got a second hand MC8, some issues with the switches like many here.

I´ve purchased some of the coupuling houses from reichelt.com, but they delivered the wrong ones - also the same as in the upper photo - they fit to Strymon Pedals.

Any information about the original coupling houses, which Morningstar uses in their pedals would be helpful. There are many different options for board wiring. Also the right crimp contact socket is important - I think this one would be the right one:

You also need the right crimping pliers.

I can’t comment on that exact crimp, but the connectors we use are same as this: https://www.taydaelectronics.com/2-pins-jst-xh-2-54-female-connector-with-wire-cable-26awg-20-cm.html

The name is XH 2.54, which looks like it might be the same as per your link
