Rename preset when switch to another oner

Hello everybody

Is there a function that allows you to change the name on the screen of a preset, say preset B, when you switch to preset D, for example? a sort of rename option for a deselected preset ?

Thanks a lot

@jason.nguyen @james

If I understand your question correctly, in the editor, copy the preset name from the box below the preset and paste it in the box above the preset. That will give you the name of the preset for that position on your controller and when you engage it, it will show in the third screen on the controller.

I don’t understand what you mean sorry.

I don’t see the message I sent so not sure which one you’re referring to.

I currently set something like this up to control my Boss XS-100.
When i double press the button for the boss xs-100 (Preset G) i go to page 3 of my bank, which has all kinds of tuning options selected. So for example i select Drop B (My guitar is in Drop C so -1) then i use the ‘Trigger messages’ to trigger a specific message on preset G which renames it to the tuning i selected then sends you back to page 1. Now it will show Drop B instead of the original message. And can keep this even while toggling.

So this gets fired from page 3:

And on page 1 preset G i have a whole list of ‘preset rename’ without any action attached so i can fire them only from page 3.

Sorry for the late reply. Here in Europe, temperatures are hovering around 41°C—equivalent to 106°F. It’s unbearable, and I’ve been avoiding locking myself in my office.
I’m going to try programming it using your settings as a guide.

Edit:

Thank you, it works.

I have programmed in every preset A to D a trigger message type

and then in preset E a preset like this :down_arrow: :down_arrow: :down_arrow: as you adviced me:

if i switch to preset E , i can finaly choose between 6 different reverbs (I haven’t named them yet; for now, they’re called 1 through 6).

If i choose preset A,B,C or D The name of preset E changes to “Reverb/Dual”. That’s exactly what i want. Thank you very much. It was very simple—but you had to think of it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Haha great nice to hear that it works for you!

I’m also from Europe so i totally understand haha it’s been way too warm.

A bit late but for any future use i copied my set-up to another bank and exported it:
