The main use I see would be to reflect one preset’s state onto another one.
In my case, on my main live setup, presets on page 2 are assigned to song sections. Each song section consists of a name, a different colour, and a bunch of messages.
When I play live, I live on page 1 for every bank. I use preset C as a sequential trigger to navigate through song structures and monitor where I’m at. (I trigger it with a couple of external switches, one to go forward, the other one to go backward).
At the moment, my message scroll stack on preset C is made of three steps per section : Trigger the relevant switch on Page 2, rename preset C, colour preset C. Works great when it goes down, but going up is a mess and I kind of gave up on that (there are a few posts on that subject). Which means if I accidentally press the Next switch at the wrong time, I might trigger the big fat stereo delay clean Bridge preset instead of the fuzzy octaviated Chorus tone, and have no other option than to cycle through all the steps to get back to normal.
So the idea would be, if feasible, that each preset on page 2 takes care of labelling preset C. Then, the message stack on preset C would need only one message per section, thus making going back up the queue possible.
Any news about this? I too, am trying to make one preset load the original name of another preset.

Bump. Would be useful in many scenarios to get visual feedback when using multiple engage preset messages within a preset.

Is this going to include the ability to rename another preset, or just change the color? Current version seems to only include color changes. Similar to the original requestor, I use groupings of presets to select rigs on my Kemper Player (ex presets M-R as dedicated rig selections) and then maintain all of my effects and modulations as static presets on presets A-L. This way I can label different rigs clearly with color variation and use multiple banks to get a variety of options while keeping workflow consistent. The problem is keeping track of what rig I am on so I use preset A as a floating name update location to reflect whatever rig I have selected. Currently this requires alot of back and forth messaging and doesn’t work well when jumping banks. Remotely renaming a preset as well as the color pallet options would be awesome. Thanks!
