Relay switching between three amp channels

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to (I’m guessing not, as relay switching isn’t as flexible as MIDI by definition) switch between three channels on an amp using the relay port without toggling to the last engaged state?

I have a three channel amp controlled by a dual foot switch. Switch one toggle channel 1/2 and switch two toggle channel 3 off and on.

If I set up presets that leverage relay switching to, for ecample:

  • Use one preset to go from channel 1 to channel 2
  • Another to engage channel 3
  • Then, if I wanted to, go from channel 3 to channel 1 even if the last preset used engaged channel 2?

I’m new to MIDI in general and the MC6 Pro is my first so any advice is super appreciated!

If the amp ueses standard latching or momentary switching, this should be possible. It would also be possible to programm this to a single foot switch. You can take advantage of the multiple action types and the shift feature.

Hi, thanks for replying. I’m having trouble configuring the relay ports to controls the amp channels. I’ve tried tip and ring and have confirmed the TRS cable I’m using works. Still no joy. Any suggestions? Thank you!

What amp is it exactly? Can you share a screenshot of the settings and your preset?

Also, have you tried a different TRS cable? Recall some issues with certain plug tip sizes not making contact
