Programming MC6ii with Diezel VHX help please

Hey y’all, I’m a newbie to MIDI, so I’m probably making some dumb mistakes, but I’m at my wits end.

I have updated to the latest firmware, and programmed the MC6ii to switch presets on the Diezel VHX, but the Diezel simply does not seem to recognize that anything is happening at all.

Here is my attempt to program the VHX to switch to the first preset.

This is Bank 1 preset A.

The Diezel is set to receive all midi channels at “omni”. The MC6 is set to midi channel “all”.
Action: All
MSG 1 Action: Press. Type: PC (Program change):
Send type: Send PC to all channels. PC number: 0.

Click save.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

Hi,
a quick look at the manual tells my that your device is straight forward when it comes to midi. Not much room for errors.
Your mc settings seem to be correct.
It’s probably an issue with the connection. How is the mc connected to the Diezel?
PC0 will load the first patch.
Sometimes the first patch is some sort of ‘manual’ mode.
Try different pc numbers.

This might by an issue. If the Diezel is set to omni and you send the PC to all channels it recieves the same PC on all 16 channels. I’d try to send the PC on a specific channel, doesn’t matter which one. The VHX should respond to every channel, since it’s set to omni.
