Program Change Offest?

I’ve noticed that the Morningstar software sends PC messages (other messages I’m assuming too) starting at number 0 while most gear I’m using starts at 1. Every time I write a program change, I have to remember to offset the number by 1 and while it seems simple, it becomes incredibly confusing and error prone to constantly be thinking that the numbers on different devices never correspond to each other. Is there some way to offset the internal numbering in the software to start at 1 instead?

You probably know, but it’s because midi “stuff” starts at 0 zero. Where your pedal says “preset 1” it’s actually storing that as PC 0.

But agree, an offset for PC (and CC) would be useful, I have the same thing with my source audio pedals.

Why not suggest it on the public roadmap?… Trello

Yeah I’m aware that’s how it works behind the scenes but it’s really really confusing to have to make sure the program numbers are always 1 off from each other.

It would be nice to have this option for the MC8 as well.

In any case, to be useful, this PC offset would need to be set only for the required midi channels (not global), since there are also a lot of pedals where preset numbers do correspond to PC numbers.

Agreed, it would have to be dependent on the channel. I’ve literally made a spreadsheet with my equipment and various settings with their PC numbers so I don’t make errors while programming presets.

2nd to this - H90 has pc offset - but my boss looper / C4 also has PC 0 = (setting) 1 and you cant change them
