I picked up a used morningstar MC3 (mki) which I’m loving, but a bit confused on why my expression pedal setup isn’t working. It works great, but I can only seem to get it to work for the first Msg on any given bank. If I switch banks, it sends the proper CC codes.
According to what I’m reading in the linked thread, and the documentation, this should work, but it’s only ever sending to Msg1 (CC#17) whether I press Preset A or B.

Your programming looks right. Have you checked the midi monitor to confirm that the cc messages are incorrect? Maybe it’s a problem at the recieving device?
I have the problem on two separate pedals - it receives only the first defined message fine, never the second one. All the other messages seem to work perfectly fine. Is there perhaps some global setting that could be messing things up?
I just confirmed with midiview that it’s sending CC#15 whether I push A or B (not CC#17). So the latest message.
Are you using two different expression pedals at the same time? Expression presets correspond to the omniport the pedal is connected. Expression 1 = port 1, Expression 2 = port 2 and so on
Just a single expression pedal for now.
Think I solved it - I recently updated the firmware to latest 2.6.2. I just tried doing a factory reset, and now it seems to be working as expected after setting up a very simple programming config. I think you were on to something when you mentioned the expression pedal setup, it seemed wonky before doing the reset. Thanks for the help!
