Hi @james and everyone,
I’m using an expression pedal connected to Omniport 1 on my MC6 Pro. I want this pedal to control only my HX Stomp, which is connected via USB Host on MIDI Channel 8.
However, I’ve noticed that the MIDI CC data generated by the expression pedal is also being sent out through the 5-pin DIN output, and I’d like to avoid that. I want the expression pedal’s MIDI data to go only through USB to the HX Stomp — not through the DIN out.
That said, I do need to keep receiving Program Changes from my computer via the DIN input, which also control the HX Stomp. So I don’t want to disable the DIN port entirely — I just want to prevent the expression pedal CC messages from going out through the DIN output.
Is there a way to configure this behavior?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
may I ask why?
Anyway it is possible to map Midi channels to specific outputs in the ‘midi channels’ section of ‘controller settings’.
That should solve the issue.
Thanks for your reply!
Just to clarify, my issue isn’t about filtering MIDI channels to specific outputs — I know that’s possible. The problem is that the expression pedal connected to Omniport 1 is sending CC messages through both USB and DIN OUT, and I’d like to stop those CCs from going through the DIN output only, while still allowing Program Changes coming from the computer via DIN IN.
So ideally, the expression CCs go only via USB, but DIN IN still works for Program Changes.
Is there a way to achieve that?
It should still be possible to recieve midi data on that channel. Afaik the filter doesn’t have an effect on the DIN input.
