I have two expression pedals connected to my MC8, and I have an Oscillator Devices Garbage Collector on the way. The GB will enable me to send midi expression data to non-midi pedals.
I gather that I can only set expression assignments per bank, is this correct? Please correct me if I’m wrong!
Is there a hardware limitation that prevents expression pedals being assigned with preset switches? If not, can this be added to the backlog?

You have a maximum of 4 (I guess, given the MC8 has four omniports) Expression presets per bank. The 16 messages within each Exp preset can be the same for every bank, or different - your choice when programming.
Obvs, Exp1-4 Preset number corresponds to the Omniports number that each Exp pedal is plugged into.
You can uniquely (or ‘the same every time’) select which of the 16 messages per Exp preset to engage and/or disengage (none, one or many) when each switch/preset is pressed, released, double tapped etc.
The last engaged expression message(s) position (msg number) in your expression preset persists when entering a new bank. If that doesn’t suit you (ie you have different expression messages set up for other banks) then set a Bank message per Bank to disengage all expression presets On Exit (ie unticked).
