Hey there. I’ve figured out how to use toggle mode, but I notice when I hit a different switch the original button stays on that secondary choice. Like if button A is set up for two different presets to toggle between (say A1 and then A2), and then I hit button B for a sound on that button, Button A stays on preset “A2”. Is there a way for button A to revert back to it’s default state of “A1” when I hit a different button?
Hi,
use a toggle reset group.
Click on ‘toggle group’ up right and scroll down in the dropdown to find those.
this was it! thank you so much!
hey, I noticed something new from using toggle groups. There are certain buttons on the same screen that I’m putting into toggle groups, and there’s one or two that I’m not leaving in a toggle group as I want it to remain in that same preset when I click something else. Is there a way to ensure that select buttons remain but ensure all the other buttons revert to default?
For instance, I’ve got Presets B1/B2, C1/C2, and D1/D2 set up for a single effect with the “x-1” portion being an “off” display and the “x-2” being an “on” display, but for A1 and A2, I’ve got two different sounds on each toggle. If I were to go from D2 (or B2 or C2) to A1, D2 remains in the D2 state. A1 or A2 remains in the state I left it in, which is what I want, but the other buttons don’t revert to their “x-1” state as I want it to if I go to that “A-x” button.
Am I missing something with the toggle groups or another feature?
Also, is there a way to make the name of the toggle state appear in the center of the screen to display which preset is currently active? I’ve got the toggle names set up right now to display what preset will be active after I press the button. Like, for button A Position 1 sound, it’s a tubescreamer and for Position 2, it’s an octave. It’s set up so I know when I hit button A, I will get the position 1 tubescreamer sound, but the display will then switch to the Position 2 octave effect display name. Just wondering if there’s a way to display the currently activated effect in the middle of the pedal like how the “Preset Long Name” displays right above the “Bank Name” in the center of the screen.
Hi,
toggle groups and toggle reset groups are basically streamlined versions of the ‘set toggle’ message type. The devs intention was to tackle the most common use cases.
In more complex scenarios I’d go with ‘set toggle’. It’s more work to set up, but offers more flexibility.
You can change the color of the bank name. That can be found in message type/utility.
If you swap the names of the preset they would be in sync though.
