Powering MC 8 from USB hub that is connected to Host?

Hi,
i’m planning to use this (powered) hub with my MC8.

I want to be able to connect the MC to:
Source Audio C4 (MIDI out from MC / needs a connection to host)
Akai MPK mini (MIDI in and out / needs power over USB)

In addition I’d have to power a 1010 nanobox from the hub (USB Power only) and I’d like to power the MC via it’s Device port.

Do you think the MIDI routing will work?
Is it safe to connect both USB ports of the MC to the same powered hub?
If not, do you know of an alternative that covers all of the above?
Do you think I’ll run into ground loop issues?

Just tested this and it does work.

The hub I’ve posted is a recommendation. Super small, enough power to power the MC and a rather hungry nanobox and as of now I don’t have any noise.

For the most part it’s dead quiet but I have a Source Audio C4 connected via USB which introduces horrible noise into the chain. Ordered an USB isolator, hope that will solve the issue.
