Possibility of a mixer on ML10x?

Is there a possibility of a MIDI controllable, simple mixer in the ML10x? It would really open up possibilities for parallel routing in Advanced mode.

Maybe in a ML10X “PRO”. But adding this feature will easily double the cost due to the digital potentiometers required.

(Stereo Inputs + 10 stereo loops + stereo outputs + trails ) * pre & post = more than 24 potentiometers required.

even just a simple software mixer? controlled by CC’s with no physical pots?

The audio signals do not get converted to digital in the ML10X

ah i see. well, definitely a feature i’d buy into in the future with a “Pro”

In absence of built-in volume control, you might consider an option like the Oscillator Devices Siren. It’s a 2-channel midi controlled volume pedal. It would require 2 of your loops and some additional programming, but it accomplishes at least part of what you’re after.

I thought the ML10x added latency to the audio signal? I also thought it’s not using relays like the ML5.

So the ML10x is 100% analog audio signal?

Yes, it is 100% analog. The signals get switched by a matrix switcher IC.

This is one of the reasons I sold my ML10X and bought a switchblade ET. It has the flexibility to control multiple effects and their analog signal path in any effect order (mono or stereo) and at any level via midi. Of course it was much more expensive than the 10X.

Sadly Ken the owner of the switchblade business passed away last year and they are no longer sold but I suggest Morningstar carefully look at what the switchblade flagship products did and try and replicate it in a future “pro” version. If they do this there is nothing in the market that could compete.
