I’m diving back into the Morningstar world. I would like to set up one button for press actions to scroll through three PC messages across two devices (i.e. two reverb presets for UA Golden and one reverb preset for Strymon Cloudburst). I would love the screen to show my desired background/text configurations (Plate, Plate+, Hall). Would this be best to set up as toggle mode with a shift mode for the third message or is a PC scroll type the best way to set this up to cycle through?
Thanks I’ll try this here in a little bit! Any recommendations on messages or should it be as simple as Press Actions for each PC in the position? I’m not in front of my controller, but thinking how to get into shift with a simple press and not messing up the other messages.
Don’t use toggle mode. Put a ‘release/toggle preset/ pos 1’ message as the last message of the preset. Put a ‘press/set toggle - shift/pos2’ just befor that message. Put a ‘press/toggle preset/pos shift’ befor the set toggle message. Add your pc messages befor those messages.
You’ll probably have to add messages to engage/disengage your pedals. That’s why I’ve recommended to use the toggles. If you don’t, ‘message scroll’ might be the better option!
You should be able to cycle through all three positions.
To make this work the order of the messages is important, as well as picking the correct action type. I think it should work, but I might be wrong about some detail which would break the whole preset. Let me know how it goes for you.
