I’ve recently purchased my ML10X and an MC6 Pro.
I’m in the process of programming the ML10X with various signal paths. I was under the impression that I could run mono pedals in parallel i.e. Signal from mono compressor splits into two separate mono drives.
Am I wrong in my thinking?
I’m also having an issue with connecting output to input in the advanced editor, so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
Thank you in advance.
Hi! To connect an output to an input, just click the output node (the little dot on the right of the rectangle), drag to an input node (the little dot on the left of the rectangle), and release, which should create an arrow between the two.
As for what you’re describing, it should work just fine in advanced mode, to split your compressor to the two paths, then keep running them in parallel for stereo or merge them somewhere for mono.
In this example chain, I’ve taken the input to a single pedal (your compressor), split it to two pedals (B tip and ring, representing your overdrive), continued them down a parallel path (C Tip and C Ring, which could be two pedals or a stereo pedal), and merging them at the output.
Note that the outputs each have two input nodes. If you use the two separate nodes, you get a summing affect. Otherwise, the ML10X always averages the incoming signals.
Thank you Jason.
For some reason, this wasn’t working for me before. But, I just gave it a go and it was nice and easy.
Cheers!
