When using the on enter bank feature, I do not see the ml10x message type. The ml10x message type is especially nice to go to a new preset with different order of effects. In practice I would like to have a bank per song. And when I enter the bank it should load the ml10x preset corresponding to the intro of that song. I could use the cc message type, but couldn’t find the message to jump to a different preset. Also the direct ml10x messages are more clear to read. I’m waiting for my mc6 unit to arrive, so I’m working in demo mode. Could be that this is the reason I don’t see the ml10x message type. Cheers
Not implemented yet but we can add in future updates.
And that’s what’s great about morningstar. Keep innovating. This will be a great feature for my use case.
Whilst there may not be a specific ML10X style message, the midi controller can send a specific midi message to the ML10X to do the same thing.
I also realised this. If I am correct you send a pc message to the chanel on which the ml10x is listening and than ad a number corresponding to the preset. For a preset on another bank you also need to send a message to change banks. This last case will seldomly be necessary for me, considering the amount of presets per bank.
Just bumping this to say this would be a great feature I’d love to see. Yes, I know it can be handled by MIDI, but being able to interface directly with the ML10X would be much simpler/easier, particularly for engaging/disengaging specific loops, which is fairly complex to do with MIDI and always requires figuring out which loop is which.
Thanks for the feedback. We’ll try to get this in v3.12
