I’m having a problem with my MC8 PRO.
I use the MC8 PRO to control my Headrush Flex Prime, and I have all 24 presets used to manage presets/pedals/Loop & Drums.
I connected an exp pedal to omniport 1 to control the volume instead of the built-in pedal.
I’d like to connect an external aux switch to omniport 2 to send the following CCs simultaneously with each press of the switch: CC84 = 127 and CC75 = 127.
Is it possible to configure an external switch connected to omniport 2 to send these CCs simultaneously without necessarily assigning a preset to this function?

The problem here seems to be you’ve used up all of your presets.
The current way requires you to assign one of your presets and send the cc messages from there. (If someone knows better, please correct me here)
I don’t understand why the external switch options aren’t just the same options as an integrated switch
. So you can send multiple messages and /or enable presets from other banks ( so you could build a bank of utility actions that could be accessed directly from the external switch without sacrificing a preset in the all banks… E.g. Switch 3 jump to back 1 as a ‘home’ switch…)
That’s correct. But if you set up the external switch to perform a ‘do nothing’ action, or an action that you wouldn’t perform on that switch, like ‘double long press’, it is possible to utilize presets that are already in use without interfering with the normal function of that preset.
Good point. And is probably a workable solution for certain situations.
Would still, however, still like to see the option of an external switch having the same possibilities as an integrated switch.
Not sure if there’s a sw limitation or a Design choice at play here
The option of choosing a specific preset from a specific bank would make planning a utility bank and utility features easier and cleaner to manage.
