On the current beta for my MC-6mkii, v1.3.6.230913517, I was trying to test out a new feature. In Configure Omniports, Fixed Switch Custom, you can choose “Bank Jump” as an option for my aux switch buttons.
However, I don’t see a place where I can choose what bank jump will occur. Testing it out, pressing that aux switch setting doesn’t appear to do anything.
Man, James has his ____ together. A public Trello board, constant presence on the forums, actually listening to ideas from the community, etc.
I’m assuming there’s not a similar Trello board for MC-6 mkii? Since most functional updates should apply to older models as well–and MC-6 mkii isn’t the priority at this point I’m sure since it’s older tech.
There isn’t a board for the MC3/6/8 (we’re still trying to see how we can best manage all the different models) but most of the new features implemented in the MC6P should trickle down to the earlier models if there are no hardware limitations.
I’m not sure if we can implement the bank jump in time for v3.12 though - kinda behind schedule at the moment.
No worries! I actually figured out a pretty functional way to do what I wanted by adding double tap presses for the same buttons on every bank to bank jump to either Home, Last Bank/page, and a bank of presets for each pedal.
And everyone appreciates the trickle down to earlier models, so thanks.
I don’t control the morningstar controllers via midi but I think that would need PCs instead of CCs. There is however the Midi Message Converter you can use to achieve this if PCs aren’t possible. Make sure to toggle on Convert at Input and you can change CCs into PCs. Only can convert up to 16 messages though so you’re limited there.
